Our Impact
At the Rotary Club of Green Valley, impact means more than good intentions. It means getting things done. Our members work together to support projects that address real needs in our local communities of Henderson, Las Vegas, and Clark County, as well as across the globe through Rotary International. From youth programs and school partnerships to global health and disaster relief, we take action where it matters most and measure our success by the difference we make.
Turning Service Into Outcomes
Here are just a few ways our service translates into lasting results for individuals, families, and communities.
Supporting Early Literacy
By volunteering with Spread the Word Nevada, our members helped clean and prepare more than 3,000 gently used books for children in underserved schools. These books support reading confidence and help close early literacy gaps across Southern Nevada.
Celebrating Students and Educators
Our Student and Teacher of the Month programs recognize the people who make a daily impact in local schools. These recognitions encourage students, highlight achievement, and show educators that their work is seen and appreciated.
Expanding Access to Basic Needs
Through programs like Santa Clothes and partnerships with organizations such as Olive Crest, we help provide clothing, meals, and other essentials to families experiencing hardship in Henderson, Las Vegas, and surrounding areas.
Building Life Skills That Last
Through partnerships with Junior Achievement and guest speakers from UNLV PRACTICE and the Salvation Army Women’s Ministries, we support financial literacy, mental health awareness, and other practical life skills that contribute to long-term resilience.
Strengthening Youth Development and Leadership
From our High School All-Star Soccer Games to the Four-Way Speech Contest to student recognition programs, we help young people grow their confidence, build leadership skills, and feel more connected to their schools and the wider community.
Building Impact Through Local Partnerships
We work with nonprofits across Clark County to support programs focused on housing, food, family services, and overall community wellbeing. These partnerships help us extend our impact and support the networks serving our region.
